Clarity is committed to providing our customers with the highest quality products at the greatest value. We believe that the best method of meeting this commitment is to build strong relationships with like minded organisations that share our values and agree to our standards of business conduct. We subscribe fully to the standards and values embodied in the International Labour Organisation (ILO) & UNICEF conventions relating to labour issues. This especially includes all articles relating to child labour, which we will not accept the use of by suppliers or sub-contractors regardless of the country or region we operate in, however poor or whatever local customs may prevail.
Our Ethical Trading Policy -'People First' is our trading compass. We insist that all our suppliers comply with our policies on child labour based on Article 32/1 of UNICEF’s Convention of Rights of the Child and ILO conventions 138 and 182. We also insist on standards for workers’ welfare (based on the ILO ‘Core Labour Standards Guidelines’). 'People First' is available for download in .pdf format.
At the very the core of everything we do, we seek to put people first by ensuring our impact on the lives of the partners we work with is positive. We seek to always ensure that human dignity, safety and respect are upheld wherever we do business. Everyone of us has a part to play in supporting this through the choices we make. We will not profit from the misery or mistreatment of others. We seek only to add value and support prosperty for all in the factories and co-operatives that produce the goods and services we procure. We take this stand because we believe we are all connected - socially, ethically, morally and commercially through our humanity. Above all its simply the right thing to do.
